Jesus, you are already what I want you to be.

Your love and mercy and grace endure.

Isaiah 58:11

For when you are worried or disheartened, take rest in the Lord, our ultimate Comforter. He will give you peace and understanding in every situation. 

The big, grey clouds loom down over us

Shielding the sunlight from our eyes

We stand there, gazing up,

Searching

Hoping just a streak of sunshine will show,

but the clouds have no mercy

They mock us

and the air starts to grow cold

There is nothing left for us

The sun has been taken and

We can’t get it back

We are side by side for a time

Until the darkness sets in.

I miss the sun sometimes

But then I wonder,

If there were no dark, grey clouds,

Would the brightness of the sun

still seem so amazing?

When the storm starts raging

And my heart grows weary,

Let me always remember,

where You are,

there is peace and love unfailing.

And it begins.
